note When the ON seizure of shift solenoid SR is detected, an engine racing occurs when upshifting from 1st to 2nd as shown in the table.

PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of shift solenoid SR
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of the A/T-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III actuator test
Item 20: Shift solenoid SR
OK: Operating sound can be heard.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Replace the shift solenoid SR and solenoid harness.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is code No.P0772 set?
Replace the A/T-ECU.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
