Code No.P0797: Linear solenoid No.2 system (ON sticking)

OPERATION

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

When the ON seizure of linear solenoid No.2 is detected, the normal gear ratio cannot be obtained because the gear does not change as shown in the table when the gear is in 4th/5th.

PROBABLE CAUSES

Malfunction of valve body (linear solenoid No.2)
Damaged harness wires and connectors
Malfunction of the A/T-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III actuator test

Item 27, 28: Linear solenoid No.2

OK: Operating sound can be heard.

Q. Is the check result normal?

	Replace the valve body (linear solenoid No.2) and solenoid harness.

	Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.

Check again if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is code No.P0797 set?

	Replace the A/T-ECU.

	Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
