OPERATION




DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS




PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of shift solenoid No.2
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of the A/T-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III actuator test


Item 17: Shift solenoid No.2
OK: Operating sound can be heard.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Connector check: C-06 A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector


Check for the contact with terminals.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the defective connector.

STEP 3. Measure the resistance at A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector C-06.


Disconnect the connector, and measure the resistance between terminal No.9 and body earth at the solenoid side.
OK: 11 - 15 Ω (A/T fluid temperature 20°C)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Replace the shift solenoid No.2 and solenoid harness.

STEP 4. Connector check: D-224 intermediate connector, D-140 A/T-ECU connector


Check for the contact with terminals.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the defective connector.

STEP 5. Check the harness between A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector C-06 terminal No.9 and A/T-ECU connector D-140 terminal No.8.


Check the output line for short circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 6. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Check again if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is diagnosis code No.P0976 set?

Replace the A/T-ECU.
