Code No.P2762: Lock-up solenoid system (Malfunction)

SOLENOID VALVE SYSTEM CIRCUIT

OPERATION

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Malfunction of valve body (lock-up solenoid)
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of the A/T-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: C-06 A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector

Check for the contact with terminals.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Repair the defective connector.

STEP 2. Measure the resistance at A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector C-06.

Disconnect the connector, and measure the resistance between terminal No.4 and No.11 at the solenoid side.
OK: 5.0 - 5.6 Ω (A/T fluid temperature 20°C)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check the harness between A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector C-06 terminal No.4 and No.11.

Check the harness for damage, short and open circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 8.
Repair or replace the solenoid harness or valve body (lock-up solenoid).

STEP 4. Connector check: D-140 A/T-ECU connector

Check for the contact with terminals.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the defective connector.

STEP 5. Measure the resistance at A/T-ECU connector D-140.

Disconnect the connector, and measure the resistance between terminal No.2 and No.4 at the harness side.
OK: 5.0 - 5.6 Ω (A/T fluid temperature 20°C)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 8.
Go to Step 6.

STEP 6. Connector check: D-225 intermediate connector

Check for the contact with terminals.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 7.
Repair the defective connector.

STEP 7. Check the harness between A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector C-06 terminal No.11, No.4 and A/T-ECU connector D-140 terminal No.2, No.4.

Check the harness for damage, short and open circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 8.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 8. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.

Check again if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is diagnosis code No.P2762 set?

Replace the A/T-ECU.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
