Inspection Procedure 1: No Navigation Screen is Displayed.

caution Whenever the multivision display is replaced, ensure that the power supply circuit and the earthing circuit are normal. (Check that the voltage is 10 V or more.)

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: D-210, D-208 multivision display connector

Q. Is D-210 multivision display connector in good condition?

Go to Step 2.
Repair or replace the damaged component(s).

STEP 2. Resistance measurement at D-210 multivision display connector.

(1)Disconnect multivision display connector D-210 and measure the resistance available at the wiring harness side of the connector.
(2)Measure the resistance between D-210 multivision display connector terminal 9 and earth.
OK: The resistance should be 2 ohms or less

Q. Is the measured resistance 2 ohms or less?

Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between D-210 multivision display connector terminal No.9 and earth.

  • Check the earth wires for open circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00, How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 4. Resistance measurement at D-208 multivision display connector.

(1)Disconnect multivision display connector D-208 and measure the resistance available at the wiring harness side of the connector.

OK: The resistance should be 2 ohms or less

Q. Is the measured resistance 2 ohms or less?

Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 5.

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between D-208 multivision display connector terminal No.25 and earth.

STEP 6. Voltage measurement at D-210 multivision display connector.

(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness-side connector.
(2)Voltage between D-210 multivision display terminal No.17 and the body earth
OK: System voltage

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 8.
Go to Step 7.

STEP 7. Check the wiring harness between D-210 multivision display connector terminal No.17 and fusible link (1).

note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector D-241, and repair if necessary.
