Inspection Procedure 7: The Rear Display Sound is not Output from the Speaker. <Vehicles with radio and CD player or CD changer>


caution Whenever the rear display unit is replaced, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.










DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: E-129 rear display unit connector, D-211 radio and CD player or CD changer connector

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the connector concerned.

STEP 2. Wiring harness check between E-129 rear display unit connector terminal No.10, 11 and D-211 radio and CD player or CD changer connector terminal No.13, 4.

  • Check the communication lines for open circuit and short circuit.
note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector D-131, and repair if necessary.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Retest the system
Check if the rear display unit sound is output from the speaker.

Q. Is the check result normal?
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Replace the rear display unit.
