Pre-removal Operation
  • Engine Coolant Draining (Refer to ).
  • A/C Compressor Drive Belt Removal (Refer to GROUP 11C - Crankshaft Pulley ).
  • Cooling Fan and Cooling Fan Clutch Assembly Removal (Refer to ).

 Post-installation Operation
  • Cooling Fan and Cooling Fan Clutch Assembly Installation (Refer to ).
  • A/C Compressor Drive Belt Installation (Refer to GROUP 11C - Crankshaft Pulley ).
  • Engine Coolant Refilling (Refer to ).
  • A/C Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment (Refer to GROUP 11C - On-Vehicle Service, Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment ).

REMOVAL SERVICE POINT

<<A>> ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT REMOVAL

1.Loosen the nut for alternator pivot bolt and locking bolt.
2.
caution To reuse the drive belt, draw an arrow indicating the rotating direction (clockwise) on the back of the belt using chalk, etc.
Rotate the adjusting bolt to the anti-clockwise direction (to the left), and remove the drive belt.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT

caution Be careful not to contaminate the O-ring with engine oil or grease.
Apply water around the O-ring before installing it.
