- Damaged harness wires and connectors
- Malfunction of the engine-A/T-ECU

STEP 1. Check the inhibitor switch. |

Replace the inhibitor switch. |

STEP 2. Connector check: C-05 Inhibitor switch connector, D-225 intermediate connector, D-216 engine-A/T-ECU connector |
| Check for the contact with terminals. |

Go to Step 3. |
|
Repair the defective connector. |
|
STEP 3. Check the harness between inhibitor switch connector C-05 terminal No.3, 2, 8, 1 and engine-A/T-ECU connector D-216 terminal No.76, 75, 67, 66. |
| Check the output line for open circuit and short circuit. |
