- Malfunction of the front power window sub switch (LH), rear power window sub switch (RH) <Long wheelbase> or rear power window sub switch (LH) <long wheelbase>
- Malfunction of the front power window motor (LH), rear power window motor (RH) <long wheelbase> or rear power window motor (LH) <Long wheelbase>
- Damaged harness wires and connectors
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check the power window main switch.

STEP 2. Determine a trouble spot.

STEP 3. Connector check: F-11 front power window sub switch (LH) connector
Q.
Is the check result normal?


STEP 4. Resistance measurement at F-11 front power window sub switch (LH) connector.

(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
|
|
|
(2)Continuity between F-11 front power window sub switch (LH) connector terminal No.1 and body earth. OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)
|

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness from F-11 front power window sub switch (LH) connector terminal No.1 to body earth.

Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector D-133 and repair if necessary.

- Check the earth wires for open circuit.

STEP 6. Voltage measurement at F-11 front power window sub switch (LH) connector.

(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
|
|
|
(3)Check the voltage between the F-11 front power window sub switch (LH) connector terminal No.4 and body earth. OK: System voltage

STEP 7. Connector check: D-408 power window relay connector

STEP 8. Check the wiring harness from D-408 power window connector terminal No.4 to F-11 front power window sub switch (LH) connector terminal No.4.

Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector D-133 and junction block connector D-403, and repair if necessary.

- Check the power supply line for open circuit.

STEP 10. Check the wiring harness from F-11 front power window sub switch (LH) connector terminal Nos. 5, 7 to F-06 front power window motor (LH) connector terminal Nos. 1, 3.
- Check the input and output lines for open or short circuit.

STEP 11. Retest the system.

(1)Replace the front power window sub switch (LH).

(2)Check that the front passenger’s door power window can be operated by the front power window sub switch (LH).

STEP 13. Resistance measurement at F-23 rear power window sub switch (RH) connector.

(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.

(2)Continuity between F-23 rear power window sub switch (RH) connector terminal No.1 and body earth. OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)

(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
|

(2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
|
|

(3)Check the voltage between the F-23 rear power window sub switch (RH) connector terminal No.4 and body earth. OK: System voltage
