caution Whenever the centre display unit is replaced, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.










COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM




PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of radio and CD player or CD changer
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Check if the audio unit that was originally set is removed, or the audio unit is replaced with the one that does not correspond with the UART communication.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Carry out the model type setting in the service mode of the centre display.

STEP 2. Connector check: D-211 radio and CD player or CD changer connector, D-106 centre display unit connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the defective connector.

STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between D-211 radio and CD player or CD changer connector terminal No.9 and D-106 centre display unit connector terminal No.2.



  • Check the communication line open circuit and short circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 4. Retest the system


Confirm that the radio and CD player or CD changer operation screen is displayed normally.

Q. Is the check result satisfactory?

The procedure is complete.
Go to Step 1.
