Code No. P060D: Trustful Check Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
FUNCTION
- Compare the output value of the accelerator pedal position
sensor (main) with that of the accelerator pedal position sensor (sub).
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Conditions
- During engine running.
- Monitoring time: Every 0.05 second.
- The difference between the output value of the accelerator pedal position sensor
(main) and twice that of the accelerator pedal position sensor (sub) is 0.4 V or more.
- When output voltage of the accelerator pedal position sensor (main) is constant,
the variation in output voltage of the accelerator pedal position sensor (sub) is 0.06 V or
more.
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
- Throttle opening degree position is in default position.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Failed accelerator pedal position sensor
- Harness damage in accelerator pedal position sensor circuit or loose connector contact
- Failed engine-ECU
