PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of key reminder switch (open circuit or short to earth in the antenna)
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunction of WCM

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III data list




  • Turn the ignition switch to the OFF (key inserted) position.

STEP 2. Connector check: C-307 key reminder switch connector, C-09 WCM connector

STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between the C-307 key reminder switch connector terminal No. 3, 7 and the C-09 WCM connector terminal No. 9, 1.



  • Check the signal wire for open and short circuit.
note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check C-102 joint connector (3) <LHD>, C-232 joint connector (5) <RHD>, and repair if necessary.

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
(2)Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
