Pre-removal and Post-installation OperationSteering column cover (Refer to GROUP 52A - Instrument Panel Assembly )




Removal Steps


·
 Lighting switch connector connection


1.
 Column switch (lighting switch)


2.
 Column switch (wiper/washer switch)

<COLUMN SWITCH BODY>


caution To remove the driver airbag module, refer to GROUP 52B - Service Precautions and Driver’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring .
Pre-removal operation
  • Check of steering wheel straight-ahead position

  • Removal of steering wheel assembly, Clock Spring (Refer to GROUP 52B - Driver’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring )

  • Removal of steering column lower cover, steering column upper cover (Refer to GROUP 54A - Electric Motor Switch )

 Post-installation operation
  • Installation of steering wheel assembly, Clock Spring (Refer to GROUP 52B - Driver’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring )

  • Installation of steering column lower cover, steering column upper cover (Refer to GROUP 54A - Electric Motor Switch )

  • Check of steering wheel straight-ahead position
