Inspection procedure 7: One of the door switch signals (including the tailgate latch switch) is not received.


caution Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the input signal circuit is normal.










COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM



note When the right, left rear door or the tailgate is opened, the signal is also displayed as "Rear door switch". Therefore, when "Rear door switch" signal is displayed as abnormal, you should determine which signal line is defective by opening the rear doors and the tailgate one at a time.

PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of rear door switch (LH)
  • Malfunction of rear door switch (RH)
  • Malfunction of tailgate latch switch
  • Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors

  • Check the wiring harness between C-12 rear door switch (LH) connector terminal No. 2 and B-317 ETACS-ECU connector terminal No. 61. <Rear door (LH)>
  • Check the wiring harness between F-06 tailgate latch switch connector terminal No. 1 and B-317 ETACS-ECU connector terminal No. 61. <Tailgate>
note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check C-07, C-08 intermediate connectors, and repair if necessary.
