1.Disconnect the No. 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor (catalyst temperature) connector. 2.Measure resistance between terminal No. 1 and No. 2. Standard value: Approximately 220 Ω (at 25°C)

This sensor has the characteristic that the resistance value increases as the temperature
increases.

3.If the value deviates largely from the standard value, replace the No. 2 exhaust gas
temperature sensor [Refer to Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Removal and Installation ].
