Inspection Procedure 10: Driver’s door unlock sensor does not work.
| caution | Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal. |

PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the outside transmission antenna assembly (driver’s side)
- Malfunction of the unlock sensor (front door: LH <LHD> or RH <RHD>)
- Damaged wiring harness and connectors
- Malfunction of the KOS-ECU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code
Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?

STEP 2. Connector check: C-23 KOS-ECU connector, E-17 Unlock sensor (front door: LH) <LHD> connector, E-05 Unlock sensor (front door: RH) <RHD> connector
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between the C-23 KOS-ECU connector terminal No. 24, 36 and the E-17 unlock sensor (front door: LH) <LHD> connector terminal No. 4, 2 or E-05 unlock sensor (front door: RH) <RHD> connector terminal No. 4, 2 and between the E-17 unlock sensor (front door: LH) <LHD> connector terminal No. 6 or E-05 unlock sensor (front door: RH) <RHD> connector terminal No. 6 and the earth.
- Check the signal and earth wires for open circuit.
| note | Before the wiring harness check, check C-39 joint connector (1), C-111 <RHD>, C-112 <RHD>, C-125 <LHD>, C-126 <LHD> the intermediate connectors, and repair if necessary. |
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 4. KOS communication test

Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 5. After the unlock sensor (driver’s side) is replaced, check trouble symptom.
