DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION

JUDGEMENT CRITERIA

PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunctions of the unlock sensor
  • Malfunction of the KOS-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics

Q. Is the check result normal?

STEP 2. Connector check: C-23 KOS-ECU connector, E-17 Unlock sensor (front door: LH), E-05 Unlock sensor (front door: RH)

Q. Is the check result normal?

STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between the C-23 KOS-ECU connector terminal No. 24 <LHD>, 25 <RHD>, 36 and the E-17 unlock sensor (front door: LH) connector terminal No. 4, 2.

note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check C-39 joint connector (1), C-126 intermediate connector, and repair if necessary.

Q. Is the check result normal?

STEP 4. Check the wiring harness between the C-23 KOS-ECU connector terminal No. 24 <RHD>, 25 <LHD>, 36 and the E-05 unlock sensor (front door: RH) connector terminal No. 4, 2.

note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check C-39 joint connector (1), C-112 intermediate connector, and repair if necessary.

Q. Is the check result normal?

STEP 5. Replace the unlock sensor, and check whether the diagnosis code is reset.

(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
(2)Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
