Removal steps


1.
Ignition key cover (Refer to GROUP54A - Ignition switch ).


2.
Steering column cover lower, Steering column cover upper (Refer to GROUP54A - Ignition switch ).


3.
Steering column upper cover (Refer to GROUP54A - Ignition switch ).


4.
Wiper/washer switch


5.
Lighting switch (incorporated in Column-ECU)

caution
  • To remove the driver airbag module, refer to GROUP 52B - Service Precautions and Driver’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring <Except RALLIART> or <RALLIART>.
  • After the installation, perform a calibration for the ASC-ECU to learn the steering wheel sensor neutral point. (Refer to GROUP 35C, On-vehicle Service - Steering Wheel Sensor Calibration ). <Vehicles with ASC>
Pre-removal operation
  • Check of steering wheel straight-ahead position
  • Removal of steering wheel assembly (Refer to GROUP 52B - Driver’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring <Except for RALLISRT> or <RALLLIART>.)
  • Removal of ignition key cover, steering column lower cover, steering column upper cover (Refer to GROUP54A - Ignition switch )
  • Removal of Clock spring (Refer to GROUP 52B - Driver’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring <Except for RALLISRT> or <RALLLIART>).

Post-installation operation
  • Installation of Clock spring (Refer to GROUP 52B - Driver’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring <Except for RALLISRT> or <RALLLIART>).
  • Installation of steering column lower cover, steering column upper cover (Refer to GROUP54A - Ignition switch )
  • Installation of steering wheel assembly (Refer to GROUP 52B - Driver’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring <Except for RALLISRT> or <RALLLIART>.)
  • Check of steering wheel straight-ahead position
