PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the exterior transmitter antenna assembly (tailgate)
- Malfunction of the lock switch (tailgate side)
- Damaged wiring harness and connectors
- Malfunction of the KOS-ECU

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

STEP 2. Connector check: C-104 KOS-ECU connector, F-10 Lock switch (tailgate) connector
Q.
Is the check result normal?


STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between the C-104 KOS-ECU connector terminal No. 22 and the F-10 lock switch (tailgate) connector terminal No. 1, and between the F-10 lock switch (tailgate) connector terminal No. 2 and the earth.
- Check the signal and earth wires for open circuit.
| note | Before the wiring harness inspection, inspect C-36 and D-12 intermediate connectors, and repair them if necessary. |
