Inspection Procedure 11: Front Passenger’s Door Lock Switch does not Work. <LH Drive Vehicles>


caution Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.








PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of the exterior transmitter antenna assembly (front passenger’s side)
  • Malfunction of the lock switch (front door: RH)
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunction of the KOS-ECU

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code



Q. Is the diagnosis code set?





STEP 2. Connector check: C-104 KOS-ECU connector, E-07 Lock switch (front door: RH) connector


Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between the C-104 KOS-ECU connector terminal No. 23 and the E-07 lock switch (front door: RH) connector terminal No. 1, and between the E-07 lock switch (front door: RH) connector terminal No. 2 and the earth.



  • Check the signal and earth wires for open circuit.
note Before the wiring harness inspection, inspect the intermediate connectors C-113 and C-114, and repair them if necessary.
