1.Remove the engine oil pan mounting bolts.

Do not use the special tool oil pan FIPG cutter (MD998727). It will damage
the engine oil pan (aluminium made).

Screw the bolts (M10 × 1.25) into the bolt holes of engine oil pan shown in the
figure, then remove the engine oil pan.

|
1.Remove sealant from the engine oil pan and cylinder block surfaces.
|
|
|
2.Degrease the sealant-coated surface and the engine oil pan mating surface of the cylinder
block.
|

3.Apply a bead of the sealant to the cylinder block mating surface of the engine oil pan
as shown. Specified sealant: ThreeBond 1217G

Install the engine oil pan immediately after applying sealant.

4.Install the engine oil pan to the cylinder block. 5.
| caution |
- The bolt holes for bolts 13 and 14 in
the illustration are cut away on the transmission side. Be careful not to insert these bolts
at an angle.
- After the installation, until a sufficient period of time (one hour or more) elapses,
do not apply the oil or water to the sealant application area or start the engine.

Tighten the engine oil pan mounting bolts to the specified torque in order of the numbers
shown in the illustration. Tightening torque: 8.5 ± 3.5 N·m 6.Tighten the engine oil pan mounting bolts of the transmission connection side to the
specified torque Tightening torque: 36 ± 5 N·m
