REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION






caution
  • Do not turn the ignition switch ON before the brake fluid has been refilled to prevent the HBB pump motor from damage.
  • When handling the HBB, hold the stud bolt or the aluminium body at the front or rear end.
  • To avoid water ingress, do not touch the lead wires or the lead wire grommet.
  • Use the special tool power piston replacer (MB992328) to hold the HBB, otherwise its component will be deformed or damaged due to its own weight.
  • Do not subject he component to any shocks or drop. If it is dropped, always replace it.
  • Be careful not to spill brake fluid. If any is spilt, it should be wiped off with a cloth immediately.
  • Do not apply water to the HBB.

Pre-removal Operation
  • Depressurise the Brake Fluid in the Power Supply System (Depress the brake pedal at least forty times when the ignition switch is turned to "LOCK"(OFF) position)
  • Brake Fluid Draining

Post-installation Operation
  • Brake Pedal Adjustment (Refer to ).
  • Brake Fluid Supplying and Bleeding (Refer to ).
  • Checking the Function and Operation of the HBB Power Supply System (Refer to ).
